De Luze XO

Today we taste De Luze XO fine cognac, it's rich in aroma and complicated in taste.

Behold, a stunning example of a Fine Champagne Cognac from the Boinaud Estate. The De Luze XO Cognac is a testament to their Cognac house, and features as a part of a collection of Cognacs that underwent a major redesign in 2011. As an Extra Old Cognac, it is around 20 years in age, and the oldest eaux-de-vie comes from the harvest of 1980 from the family estate. This sublime Cognac was designed to encapsulate the spirit of the De Luze maison, and does everything that a good Fine Champagne Cognac should; the roundness on the palate, followed by the exceptionally long finish that never fails to impress. The Extra Old De Luze has caught the attention of many spirit critics worldwide, and for that reason is a multi-award winner. With a floral character that is bold and intense, you are sure to enjoy this Cognac from the largest family run estate in the Premier Cru, the Grande Champagne.

Nose: Dried fruits and spices, some cinnamon, prune and pear. A little nutmeg, truffle oil and dates.
Palate: Date and walnut loaf, and thick, dark fruits. Some apricot, prune and pine forest floor.
Finish: Great length with a long, fruity, spicy finish.
