Today we tasted a new bottle, Hennessy Pure White!
This bottle is hard to come by in US stores and we had a friend who brought this from another neighbor country for us.
Hennessy Pure White VS Cognac is an intriguing blend of Eau-de-vie between two and 50 years from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois regions, which yields a very intricate, pure cognac. According to one of Hennessy's members of the tasting committee, "It's a difficult cognac to produce." This Pure White Cognac expresses the qualities of the white wines from which it has distilled. They have produced with the most beautiful white grapes from the sunny cognac region.
The cognac double distillations produce flowery aromas and compelling characters. All the Master Blender's art has expressed in this atypical creation that garbs Hennessy Pure White with a bright robe and with fragrances drawn from the vine. Hennessy Pure White bestows a subtle flower bouquet characteristics, thanks to a blend with dominance from the Fins Bois.
The Eau-de-vie selected by the Master Blender is notable for their distinctive clarity, showing minimal wood influence, to allow fresh floral and fruity notes to shine through expressing the straw-gold color. The light and refreshing aroma of spring flowers smoothly move to white yet sweet fruits like grapes, apples, and pears. At the second nose appears the hint of unripe apricot. While the aroma is light and fruity, the palate's sensation is vibrantly alive with a sharp and delicious freshness – a full-bodied experience the intensity of a smashed bunch of grapes, white spring flowers, and honey.
