Today, Jun 4th is International Cognac Day. After a very long absence we get together to drink a new bottle, Chabanneau XO, and enjoy each others company.
Cognac, France- Blend of the finest eaux-de-vie. Deep amber in color with shades of mahogany. Prune and nutty flavors on the nose, balanced by old oak undertones. Well structured palate, mature with strong character. Made at Camus, one of the most esteemed Cognac houses.
Chabanneau is a line of cognac produced by Camus but offered as a private label in the value price range. Chabanneau XO cognac is their youngest (3.5 years) and a slightly older expression.
